I’ve always been a fan of the Suikoden series. I really enjoyed Suikoden 1-3, but not so much 4. Suikoden V puts the series back on track and gets back to basics and includes more of what makes Suikoden great. It has an awesome storyline, tons of characters to hunt for and recruit and very enjoyable gameplay. The game takes a few hours to get itself going and one may have to be patient before the game really starts to take hold. Once you find yourself enveloped in the game, it’s an intense ride with many twists and turns for the next 40 hours or so. And a very enjoyable ride it is. Suikoden V is now one of my all time favorite RPGs as well as my favorite RPG of the year thus far.
