User Rating: 8 | Summer Games 2600
Summer Games is a sports video game developed by Epyx and based on many of the games played during the summer Olympic games. The game placed you in a stadium area where multiple sports took place. The game allowed up to eight players, each of which would choose a country to represent in the games. The players would then take turns competing in the various events, with the most succesful athletes winning medals. The different sports featured in "Summer Games" include the pole vault, rowing, skeet shooting lol, gymnastics, sprinting, freestyle swimming, and platform diving. Due to the technological limitations of the era, most of the games were played using a similar method of either jiggling the joystick really fast, or pressing the button really fast. Joysticks had to be incredibly durable back in the early generations of gaming.
