So the game starts off where you choose you gender (typical right?) and then you find out about your character. The strange part to me is he is a craft Knight apprentice but he doesn't know anyone. No other apprentices no craft lords. Is he/she a loner? Well anyway despit that, this game is solid! The battle system is excellent. Even though little to no customization is provided the game can still be a good RPG. Over the course of the game you find new weapons to make which is sort of an equivelent to Dragon Quest VIII's Alchemy Pot. In DG VIII you find recipes a long the way and use items to make it, same in this. They have good characters in the game and a short but sweet story line. Even after the story is over there are more weapons. more enemies, more bosses, and more places to go with one goal in site, the 100th floor. If you are just killing time, looking for a good RPG, or just looking for a good game this is well worth your money. Oh by the way did I mention you can use a ladle?
