Fans of Street Fighter EX/DBZ rejoice!

User Rating: 7.8 | Super Dragon Ball Z PS2
As far as I am into this game thusfar, it's truthfully not as bad as I had initially assumed, now I'm not going to lie, I'm a fan of the Dragon Ball franchise and Street Fighter EX did seem like an ambitious side project to the legendary 2D fighters, and this game does infact bring those worlds together, the trademark D, DF, F, Punch scheme is back and makes it pretty familiar to play, the speed of the fights is pleasant and halfway repetitive music aside, all of the familiar voice actors are back to play their respective roles which is always well appreciated.
I must say that the character models and super moves don't look quite as clean as they did in DBZ Budokai 3 or even Shin Budokai for the PSP, and some clipping like on Chi Chi's fans and the infamous feet in the floor of quicksand make the game look a bit dated, but destructible objects in the fighting arenas make up for that because I'm a sucker for stuff that breaks :) If you're looking for a great DBZ experience, I'd have to tell you to go get Budokai 2 then work your way into Budokai 3, if you're looking for traditional style made 3D fighters with a little taste of Goku, I'd have to say you should atleast check this game out.
