One of the few games that can compete with Ocarina of Time for the title "Best Game Ever"
Super Mario 64 takes gaming to a whole new dimension. You play as Mario and your objective is to save the princess by obtaining power stars throughout her castle. You do this mainly by jumping through paintings and completing certain objectives inside of that course. There are a total of 15 courses, each of which you can earn 6 stars along with a star for earning 100 coins. There are also 15 secret stars throughout the castle.
The overall game is really easy to beat. You only need 70 stars to face Bowser for the final time and he is a joke every time you face him. The real challenge in Super Mario 64 is obtaining all 120 power stars. There are some that are difficult to find and some of them are extremely difficult to earn, but when you do earn them a feeling of satisfaction will come over you.
The controls, graphics, and sound of this game are near perfect. The camera can cause slight problems but it is nothing that should cause major alarm. This game was released over 12 years ago and it was the first 3D game that I ever played and I still love playing it to this day. If by some case of bad luck, you missed this game, pick up a copy and have the time of your life.
