Absolutely the best out of the three original classics on the Nintendo!

User Rating: 9 | Super Mario Bros. 3 NES
Super Mario Bros. was just boring having only Fireballs and mushrooms. Then they came out with Super Mario Bros. 2 that changed the game to more boring making the original a little funner to have. Super Mario Bros. 3, not only have they broken the mold of creation, but they went past normal to absolute Genius. I do not really like platform games but I love to play this game with my family. No other Mario game except Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo even lives up to it. You have the ability of several suits to wear and more places to go. It is a game that all platform games should be made after or bade to beat. You have 8 different worlds of levels to explore, secrets to unearth, and items to win. It has sorta mini levels that is fun to play also. You have the Slot machine like game where you try to line up three parts to make a picture of either a star, mushroom, or fireballs. My Aunt always loves to do this and usually wins with her added sound effects. Then there is a memory type game where you win the prizes on the cards. There is also hammer bros. levels with different kinds of Hammer Bros. in the levels depending in what world you are in. the difference between this game and its originals is that you can wear several more suits, no picking up enemies, bosses are in ships that move from one place to the other instead of at the end of three levels. The game lets you keep a load of items to use in the harder levels later on. It uses a storage bar at the bottom of the map screen on which you choose which item or level to go to. On the map is several things to be noted. On some worlds there is secret places that you can get to by breaking rocks hiding them or blocking passage. The item rack is useful for those, who like my Aunt, lose their size and abilities during game play. This makes it easier for kids learning to play to have a fun time. Also makes it easier on world 8. As a Christian I like to add a little footnote on this game for those who ask about spiritual problems in the game. There is magic wands and kings at the end of each world. THe king has been transformed by a koopa(one of the seven children of Bowser) on a ship carrying a stolen wand. The idea is to get the magic wand back and save that kingdom before going to the next world. One thing my mom had trouble with is Bowser's land. It has fire and skulls on some of the different map levels which has more than one in this world. There is also a hand that comes out that captures you and takes you to a level. In my opinion, The game has very little magic that will effect kids. My mom even played the game, just outlawed the Bowser world. The game is safe for everyone and is the best for the Nintendo. To sum it up. This is a keeper for everyone. I would suggest you get a version as soon as you can. There is hundreds of hours of fun for the whole family.
