The true sequel to Super Mario Bros.

User Rating: 10 | Super Mario Bros. 3 NES
Three years after Nintendo released Super Mario Bros., they came up with Super Mario Bros. 2. It was actually a remake of the japanese game: Yumi Kojo: Doki Doki Panic. It was the same in ALL ways except they just threw Mario, Luigi, Toad and Peach in SMB2. It didn't feel like a Super Mario Bros experience.

So on February 12, 1990, Nintendo sent out this masterpiece. It took everything that made SMB great and took it to the next level. Now, you could work together with a friend as Mario and Luigi and play through the levels. There are 8 worlds with a boss at the end of each. The first 7 bosses are Bowser's kids and the last is Bowser himself. Some levels are very challenging. There are even secret exits to some levels.

The graphics of SMB3 are a big step up from SMB's. SMB3 had the best graphics on the NES. There have been a couple remakes to this awesome game. One on the GBA and it was brought back with improved graphics on Super Mario All- Stars. It was even brought to the Wii's Virtual Console.

This game is still difficult and completely amazing after 18 years.
