Super Mario Bros. 3

Overrated, but still good.

I don't understand the big deal about this game. It's great, but the best game ever this is not. One reason is it's punishing difficulty. After World 2, the game gets tortuously difficult. Even though that's sort of the style of this game, Super Mario World is a better a choice because of its more reasonable difficulty and a save system.
This game also has less impressive level designs than Super Mario Bros. 1. For some reason, it feels just off. It's merits superimpose it's negatives. You will have a blast with this game.

+ This is a great platformer overall.
+ Good music
+ Various power-ups and hidden routes.

- Level designs are not as good other Mario titles.
- Overhyped
- A little too hard after World 2
Overall this is a great buy, and one of the better Virtual Console Games.

  Super Mario Bros. 3 is an ageless classic that will appeal to any gamer of any age.
