Insanely addictive, brilliant, classic, simplicity place this game on the very edge of perfection.
While many gamers may be put off by the simplicity of the gameplay, it quickly becomes apparent that simplicity is no bad thing. The levels are ingeniously constructed that even a Sony "cow" such as me will be instantly struck with grudging infatuation with the game, which quickly spirals into addiction.
The game is never repetitive and always fun, with a perfect balance between relatively easy and maddeningly difficult levels. After picking up the game for the first time, the only times I turned it off were when stuck on a particularly challenging level, or at 2:00 in the morning.
Super Mario Bros is the father of platforming today, and still easily one of the best titles out there.
