I no like putting 10 for games, but this is the game that i had expend more time without an online option. Technically isn't the best but i sett on it a 10 in graphics and sound because that characters design and tunes and the annimations are the sweaters ever, how not to instantly recognize them? In other aspect, it really owns every racing game ever made.. the way karts had to be handed, the way u can made speed, take that "speed traps". I found it more fun by no using weapons in other human players, just lets the karts driving do the talking. Also battle mode and time trials are the best ever made... dunno why Mario kart 64 losed so bad in all aspects. But well, what made this game so hiralius is that every time u play it and u master it more, u will enjoy it more... this game if u had a partner of ur skill to play with, u will never get bored. Never. U will laugh, cry, scream, felt unbeatable everytime u play it more, more. It is the game with more replay value ever made, don't forget that. Always fun. One very important thing on its success was incluiding Mario's series characters... they always makes games more and more funniers. I not founded a game similar to it in the way its so perfect in driving style and for 2 players playing, dunno if mk ds would be so good as it. I played also lots Mario kart super circuit, but it isn't the same... too much weapons abuse and the way of driving kartings isn't as good as original. If you never played it, just go and run for it and play it until u reach mastery... u will never apologize about that.
Some suggestions for it for playing forever:
Made a "records-book" for everyrace for GP mode, and no use any kind of weapon on ur human partner, so u not avoid his time....
For example, my records to same some i remember now, are (maybe the best i did):
Mario Circuit 1: 0'55'45 (koopa troopa)
Chocolate Island 1: 0'55'25 (koopa troopa)
Ghost Valley 2: 0'54'60 (koopa troopa)
Vainilla Lake 1: 0'53'40 (koopa troopa)
for beach races for example are fasters DK and Bowser, but for the rest Koopa and toad in GP mode.
Dunno if someone posted their records in forum in Time trial, i don't love it at all because it hurts my fingers, but some record of mine i remember now was 1:01:21 in MC1 with DK.
