What a great game, I remember when Sega Genesis tried ripping on this game by promoting some other crummy racing game that was hard edged or something. The ploy didn't work, and the Mario Kart saga is still going pretty strong and Sega is now, well, just making software. What I like about this game is that you are right in the driver's seat during your races. It gives it a borderline realistic effect of being a race driver and the characters, like other Nintendo sport games have their positives and negatives. The courses have a lot of variety and can favor certain characters depending on the course. Novices have a difficult time with this game such as blowing around the corners, swirving, and not hopping (tapping the L or R button) once you hit a wall or character. The battle mode rocks too, I have yet to be defeated in battle mode in termsof playing a 3, 5, or 7 game set. Anyway, this is my view of the game, anyone agree?
