I use to love this game as a kid just playing for hours hoping to get to Wario's castle. But playing it today it was not how I remembered it. It's nice that you can select what world you want to take on first theres all kinds of theams like a haunted house, a regular house, sunken ship, Mario robot, a tree, and even the moon. The level design is what really shows this has aged. It just seems so standard. After Mario bros 3 it almost felt like taking a step back the power ups weren't as cool, there was hardly any secrets to levels and they are really short. The boss battles are the coolest part of the game. You fight all kinds of foes here like the 3 pigs, giant squid, a rat, and even an alien. Sadly this game is short what took me days to compleat as a kid takes me less than 30 minuets as of now, and if you get a game over it makes the 6 golden coins go away and you have to get them all over again. Wario's castle is fairly hard but can be beaten in no time. It's short but repayable for enjoyment and the claw mine game is fun. It's a solid game just hasn't aged as i hoped it would.
