The good parts of this game is the platforming gameplay, again, just like all other mario games, this game is platforming and it works out just as well as it has been, you still run, jump, hit blocks, kill enemies, and go through levels, then fight the boss. This game has a little different story, you are mainly trying to collect 6 golden coins from 6 different worlds and try to get to Wario and defeat him to save the area. The levels are really cool and they are pretty long, they are about 3 times longer than the average super mario bros level. There are also many different enemies that you will come across, you will come across goombas, koopas, and some more different ones like bats, different kinds of fish and so forth. The boss battles are really nice and some are tough so you might have to play against them for awhile. The power-ups make a comeback in this one also, you got the famous mushroom, then you got fire flower, and instead of a cape, or the tanooki suit, this time it is a carrot, this works just the the cape, you mainly fly in mid-air, then you got the famous starman, again, it makes you invincible for a short time and it helps in some levels. The bad parts of this game is the levels, even though there 6 worlds, there aren't many levels in this game, there is one world where there is only 4 levels, i know the original mario bros levels had 4 levels in each world, but you would have thought nintendo would have made a little more levels. Some levels are way too tough, that is if you dont have the right power up, if you dont have a right power up, you are screwed in some levels. Overall, a really nice game on the Game Boy and a nice game overall, the platforming is the same and as usual, it works.
