My first Mario game, and one of the Gameboy's best games.

Mario Land 2 : 6 Golden coins, is the first game I played as Mario, it was also the first game I ever got for my gameboy, this game has great level design, good graphics for its time, and overall addicting gameplay, and some crazy bosses for good measure.

Story : Mario platformers games are pretty light of the story aspect. Wario has taken over Mario's castle and its up to Mario to get it back, story finished.

Gameplay: this is one gem of a platformer, anyone who likes the traditional 2D platformer will adore this game, its a great 2D Mario game, and it plays like one, the controls are great, unlike some platformers where the controls feel too loose and unresponsive. the level design is excellent, you will be going to various areas in the game, from a submarine to the moon and a beehive inhabited by killer bees. Mario gets his usual power ups such as the mushroom and fire flower as well as the carrot, which allowes mario to fly for short amounts of time The only critisicm against this game is its overly easy difficulty, when I first played this I was only 5 years old, and to a young child this game is quite a challenge, but to a more experienced gamer, this is easy

Graphics and Sound: For the Gameboy in 1993, this is impressive, while there is no colour and the Gameboy screen being small, it still looked good.
compared to the original Mario Land, this is a huge graphical improvement.
the best comparison I can make is that this game looks like Super Mario Brothers 3 on the NES. its nice to look at and looked very good for the Gameboy. the sound is typical Mario music, it sounds like the NES Marios and it sounds good.

overall this game is one great platformer, the graphics are good, the controls are excelllent and level design is great, this game is fairly affordable today so there is no excuse for platformer fans not to try this out.
