Mario's first RPG adventure, and what an adventure it is!

Nintendo has done it again: another great Mario game. This was an excellent RPG, with great graphics and a fun overall cast of characters and scenerio. This was the first RPG with 3D graphics, I think. Or pretty close to it, at any rate. The gameplay is in a nice isometric 3/4ths view. Fun, varied abilities between players and a storyline that is entirely in the tradition of the Mario games. Playing this, you can see where some of the gestures and humour of the Paper Mario series originates. I loved that you can have both Bowser and Princess Peach in your party in this game! She's a good character for the second half of the game, and your most effective healer. Gotta love the double-slap gloves, attack-parasols and frying pans! Some fun new characters round out the cast of playable characters. Could have used a few more abilities, as the battles begin to feel a bit stale by the end of the game sometimes. Definitely a game worth playing, though.
