good gameplay, not enough variety

I think that super mario strikers has some of the best gameplay in the series, but thats the only thing it has mostly. By that I mean when you go to the main menu of the game all it has is exhibition, tournaments, super tournaments, training, and extras, like career milestones and cheats. But when you play the actual game its very addicting. Though there are not any stats for the teams or anything which I would like. what i'm saying is that when you pick your teams there the regular people like mario, peach, wario, dk. but then you just pick side teams like koopas or birdos. overall this is a very good game just not enough variety.
