I loved it...until it bored me.
The problems with the game are noticeable, however. Aside from the pretty straightfoward, uninteresting music, the trademark sounds the characters make after scoring their goals will have you pressing mute on your T.V after just a few rounds. The biggest problem is with the boredom of the game. The actual gameplay itself is great, but you will get tired of it fast, unless you're playing a human opponent in multiplayer. Strikers is best played in doses, rather than straight through. Also, your goalie can tend to miss some extremely easy goals, and block some goals you'd never thought they'd even touch. Randomness has a big effect on your goal scoring, and its almost as if whoever shoots more goals tends to win.
All in all, Strikers is still a great game in its own way. I rented it, then bought it. If you're looking for a great game to play multiplayer, and even if you're not, you should give Super Mario Strikers a try.
