Another Mario sports game. I'm not surprised. I'm still waiting for Mario Crochet.

While it is not the best sports game on the market, nor the best Mario sports game, it still proves to be quite the joyride. Probably the best part of SMS is it's great multiplayer matches. Seriously don't buy this game for it's single player mode. It's just like any other Mario sports game you've played. SMS has a good roster of characters, and a variety of soccer fields and items to use as well. The insane items and courses separate SMS apart from your average soccer game. Whether that is good or bad, it all depends on what kind of soccer fan you are. If your into serious, realistic soccer than you won't find as much fun in SMS as you would if you were the type who likes to go play with their friends and brake the rules. I am neither of those two types but I liked SMS anyway. The game is pretty short too, so only buy it if you have some friend to play multiplayer with.
Graphics don't look too shabby. If you've played Mario Superstar Baseball, or Mario Power Tennis then you'll already know what the graphics in SMS look like. They look about the same, but that is in a good way because Superstar Baseball and Power Tennis had pretty good graphics. There isn't as much detail as you might've liked but the characters aren't blocky nor the courses hard to see. The music can tend to get a little bit annoying but you'll learn to eithe rlike it or ignore it. If you don't like it just turn it off.
