Great Mario fun gameplay, just not as much depth or content as expected though.

Gameplay 8/10: as with most Mario games, this game is easy to pick and play right away, but takes time later to master. This game is a tad simpler than other Mario titles with a more shallow learning curve. It doen't take too long to master the controls and woop on the computer. The controls are obviously very tight and responsive, as in all Mario games. this game is a ton of fun to play, especially when playing against a friend. Its even capable for 4 players to play, and having your buddy as a teammate is even better than it sounds. As in all Mario games, you compete in "cups" (mushroom, flower, star, bowser, etc) to unlock all the content. Compared to other mario titles, there is actually not as much unlockable content. The other thing missing here are minigames, which are common for a Mario sports title. there are zero minigames here. :-( while minigames where never the bread and butter of other mario games, (besides Mario Party), i usually enjoyed them as extra conent. It does have a tutorial though, which i always like. there are suprisingly not as many characters to choose from either in a typical mario game Graphics 8/10: everything on the field looks VERY NICE and the cutscenes look good too, but the backgrounds for the stadiums are just okay, and it doesnt look any better or different from other Mario games. Sound 8/10: sound effects are good as usual, but the soundtrack here isnt as memorable as other mario games. Tilt: lots of fun, definitely great for multiplayer too, but a bit shallow compared to other mario titles
