User Rating: 8.8 | Super Mario Strikers GC
As we all know, Mario is Nintendo's Mr. everything. Besides having to save the Mushroom Kingdom from Bowser, Mario has also shown the ability to party, race, be an RPG master, and also become an All Mushroom Kingdom star athlete. After playing golf, tennis, and baseball, Mario has now taken his talents to the soccer field in Super Mario Strikers. I must say that this game is fantastic, and it continues the excellent line of terrific Mario sports games.

Graphics: 9/10
Although the graphics in this game are just like the previous Mario sports games, I'll admit that it's still good. The character images, the stadiums, and the items look like they've been developed well in this game as well. While there isn't much to say in this category, the graphics are quite good and it should get a good rating.

Game Play: 9/10
In Super Mario Strikers, the game involves soccer. You may think that this soccer game is just like any other, but it's not. Around here, there's no penalties, no boundaries, and a free will to knock your foes down silly. Of course, just like in normal soccer, you must score more than your opponent. It may sound simple, but it can be tough if your foe's level if rather high. However, a good challenge can always make things interesting. The rating is almost perfect in this category.

Sound: 8/10
The sound in this game is pretty well-composed. From explosions, to electric shocks, pretty much all the sound effects correspond to a specific item. The voice effects aren't too shabby either, but sometimes it can be annoying to hear the characters say the same lines repeatedly. BGM isn't available during the game play (which is rather upsetting), but even without it, the game can still go on. The sound category isn't exactly perfect, but the sound is still entertaining.

Multiplayer: 7/10
In soccer games, only two teams can play at the same time. Of course, that doesn't mean that only two players can play. Up to 4 players can play on one team, which means that all 4 players can control at least one character (except the goalie). Multiplayer could've be more interesting if 4 teams could play at once, but having another human player on your side can be quite helpful, especially when playing cup matches.

Controls: 8/10
The controls can change from simple to confusing at different points. While there are times when you'll switch to a character you don't want to control, usually the character you'd switch to would be the one closest to the soccer ball. Also, doing moves like the deke can be tough too, especially when you don't know when your opponent will do a slide or big hit on you. Fortunately, the other controls which involve kicking, passing, and item using are easy to control. While there are flaws in the controls, they're not terrible enough to drop the rating above.

Replay Value: 8/10
Seeing as this is a soccer game, it has to be replayable. Of course, the cheats that can be unlocked can't be locked up again without deleting your game data (in which you shouldn't do without a good reason). The replay value is good enough fortunately.

Final Rating: 9/10
This is probably one of the most entertaining Mario sports games you'll ever find. You might want to try it out yourself if you want.
