Another 3D Mario game similar to Mario 64. Solid Stuff. This time with an amazing water spraying machine called FLUDD. This is the story. Mario and everyone (except Luigi), are on a vacation to the sun drenched tropical paradise of Isle Delfino. On their way, Peach sees a shadow similar to Mario's, but Mario was with her. As they land, the island is dark, polluted, and plastered in graffiti. And worse, Mario has been blamed for the mess, because the perpatrator looked a lot like Mario. The island is dark. Why? You see, there are these shiny sun-like objects called Shine Sprites. They gather in big numbers at the legendary shine gate. They give sunshine and power to Isle Delfino. But because of the perpatrator's graffiti incidents, most of the Shine Sprites have fled, leaving the islanders trembling beneath a veil of darkness. The verdict was that Mario is sentenced to clean up the entire island. Until the island is free of the perpatrator's handiwork, Mario shall not be allowed to leave (because they thought it was Mario). So Mario uses FLUDD to clean his way through, and collect the Shine Sprites and bring power and sunshine back to Isle Delfino.
Nice gameplay. The game is tough, even though I won it. There was this really unobvious part where I had to stare at the sun while standing over a band of light so I could get to a new area called Noki Bay. The hardest part was Episode 4 in Sirena Beach. Took me official hours to finish the episode. Challenging game, really.
Colorful graphics. They remind me of Mario 64's graphics, only better. Water graphics are the best. They also make me thirsty hehe.
Pretty solid game. Old, but really great. For Mario fans. Rent or buy, but I say buy it.
Super Mario Sunshine is a pretty good game, but I didn't like it that much... It's fun and I liked the idea but it was very short and easy. The idea of having Mario go on an island, and collecting Shine Sprites instead o... Read Full Review
