I think Mario's gaming record needed to get "cleaned off"!
GAMEPLAY---10/10---Fun, lots of fun, the game is very addicting, there is always something happening or changing in the game, the main basis of this is of course...Bowser took Peach again, which I'm sure that you're ALL tired of that story...but this time it was better. With a whole arsenal of water squirting and propelling stuff, this makes you want to keep playing, just to find out what happens next! And heck, they even got Yoshi in this one! The main point of the game here is to collect shine sprites, which are pretty much like stars from the last mario game, but instead they are supposed to power the island's sunlight, there are of course, your number of bosses, puzzles, and areas where you can definitely get stuck. There are even some levels where you must function without your waterpack! Thrifty, fun, and quite challenging to boot, this is a must-have for any Gamecube owner!
Graphics---9/10---Wow, very nice, of course, not 3D, but they still did a very nice job. Mario actually has living features, his face actually seems fairly real, and other character will interact with you, making it that much more real.
Sound---5/10---The sound receives the sludgehammer, because of the music, the music can get very annoying after a while...it is the same tune, on EVERY level, but it may just be played with a different instrument. The sound from characters is good, but it's the music if anything that would kill this game...
Value---10/10---Though the music is annoying, this game is definitely worth your cash, it'll keep you busy hours on end, trying to save the island from toxic sludge!
Overall-9/10---This is definitely a good game! A must have for any mario lover!
