Truly a memorable Mario game.

Everyone loves Yoshi. He is got to be one of the cutest sidekicks ever and in this game, he's babysitting. When baby Luigi and Mario are attacked by an evil witch, Mario is seperated from his twin. When he falls from the sky, he lands right on top of Yoshi's back. Yoshi is then sent by his friends to return the tiny one to his beloved parents. The game has one of the most original gameplay I have ever seen. First off, you devour your enemies to make eggs, which can be shot at enemies like bullets. Second, you will face enemies oh too familiar to the Mario franchise, like Shy Guys and Koopas. The graphics are faithful to the game on the Super Nintendo and it is just great to play as childhood favorite. The only flaw would be that when you get hit, baby Mario flies off your back and into a bubble. He will cry and float around as the countdown starts. Don't save him in time and the evil witch's henchmen will kidnap him. Some level designs are frustrating, only when you are rushing to Mario, because he may go up way high and you will be fighting to get up to him before the thieves steal him away and you lose a life. Other than that, Yoshi's Island was a childhood wonder when I was a kid and it is just as good when I am 15.
