along with super mario all stars the best 2d jump&run ever

this game evolved the concept of super mario bros 3 and changed it making everything faster and more simple to play(no more object menu) making the game fun from the start to the end.

the great difference between this game and his predecesors is that the secret ways are not only shortcuts to the end of the game, they are also the way to a lot of hidden levels that make the searching for secrets more entertaining in this game than in any other super mario.

the game is not so hard has the predecessors...if you only try to finish the game because there are secret levels that are a lot harder making this game accessible to new players and hardcore players.

the game is never perfect but the fact that there is no better 2d jump&run even over 15 years after is release makes him one of the few games to really deserve a 10
