One of the All-time greats.
I know A Link to the past and Chrono trigger would probably get more attention and better reviews, but this game has everything the first offered x2 and not to mention completely revamped and perfected gameplay.
The story is simple and there's almost abolutely no dialogue, but this is a video game stripped of all the things that make modern gaming so daunting and boring. This game also has a massive influence on the widely popular Symphony of the night and the subsequent Castlevania's on the GBA ,but doesn't get the credit it deserves.
IGN did a Top 100 greatest Video Games in 2004 and the top 3 were
1.Super Mario Bros.
2.Ocarina of time
3.Super Metroid
given credit where the credits due.
