Every once and a while, I like to pop open the treasure chest of older games, and play one of them that hooked me in so long ago. Super Metroid is such a game. This game MADE the Sci-Fi action/adventure genre in the Super Nintendo's time. With it's large world to explore, thousands of secrets and hidden items, blisteringly difficult boss fights, and excellent (tho' oft' forgotten) story, this game became one of the Super Nintendo's premire action/adventure games. Along with the popular Legend of Zelda series, Metroid saved the action/adventure genre from its fast approaching doom. 'Till the end of the Super Nintendo did no other action title match the charm and sophistication of this game. Suck "Super Missile" b----!
