Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, although long-winded, is one of the best puzzlers available on the marketplace. Rarely do games on the XBL Arcade come along that are this good. The premise of SPF2 is to build up clusters of the same color of block. Once you have strung enough together and built them up, you need to hunt and peck for a special kind of block called a break block. By smashing a break block of the matching color into your cluster, you will cause all of those blocks to shatter and power up your character. Your character's sprite will then unleash one of their signature moves based on how big your cluster was and how many times you combo'ed the destruction with blocks of different clusters. Damage to your opponent comes in the form of dead blocks that your opponent can't utilize for 5 turns. The game offers both offline and online modes and multiplayer plus a sweet leaderboard that boasts your win/loss record. Achievements are also in the mix along with 11 characters to choose from and a 12th character might exist as unlockable content (not sure.) Nonetheless, the game will only cost you 10 bucks for one of the best arcade games to date. Don't pass this one up.
