In Smash Bros. you get to play as practically any Nintendo character to date, you fight in classic Nintendo locations (such as the first mario world with it's original graphics), and there's loads of trophies and collectibles that chronicle Nintendo's history. Any creature, place, weapon, ship, you name it, it'll show up in this game at one point or another. In addition to all this, the soundtrack also includes such classic tunes as super mario world and yoshi's island during gameplay. If you're a Nintendo fan, you'll simply love this. Graphically, the game doesn't use too many fancy effects, but the characters and environments are beautifully modeled, with lots of pretty eye candy. Nice graphics, classic soundtrack, and loads of memorabilia aside, the gameplay itself is fantastic. It's a total blast to have 4 buddies playing this game together, kicking to poop out of each other with everyone's favourite characters. For example, I'm always Link, and one of my friends is always Mario, and it's a blast for us to go on a team against level 9 (hard difficulty setting) Marth and Roy. Each and every playable character has very unique abilities that make for some very dynamic fights. For example, mario can shoot fireballs, flap his cape to deflect missiles, and do many other things. Link can use a grapple hook, throw bombs, chuck his boomerang, and so on. You get the idea. This game's well worth the discount price it's now being offered at, and at the very least deserves a rental from every gamer out there who has grown up loving Nintendo.
