Take mortal combat and your favourite nintendo characters, AND.....
GAMEPLAY-9/10-This game really hits it off, it takes off where Mortal Combat left off, this just adds your favorite nintendo characters, and BAM! You have super smash Bros. Melee! The Gamplay here absolutely rules. It has a 1P mode, and a Multi-player mode with more bonuses than you can shake a really big stick at! Gameplay here is pretty basic, just rack up damage on your enemies, and then send them flying up, down, east or west on various boards that fit to a certain character. There are also many items you can use while battling to heal yourself, or to throw at enemies. The event match is my favorite part that they included, these are missions, each with their own different scenarios, such as---KO captain Falcon in 7 seconds.---The trophy addition to this game also makes the older one look absolete. You can win trophies by completing certain event matches, or by winning them in the lottery. This game also includes three different modes for 1P. Classic-which is pretty much the same as from the original. Adventure-Which takes you to special courses such as the mushroom kingdon thing with goombas and koopas. And then-All-Star-Which takes you into battle with every single character with only 1 life and limited recovery items! This game leaves just about all others in the dust!
Graphics-10/10-For the time that this game was created, the graphics are in tip-top shape. Everything is beautifully depicted, on every character. The only problem I had with this at all were if you pressed pause during play, and you were making contact with someone, you’d get a strange comic book looking explosion on your screen, but still, that has absolutely nothing to do with the initial graphics…
Sound-8/10-The sound doesn’t get a 10 here, because much of the music is very annoying, and all the characters use the same phrases ALL the time, but other than that, I applaud Nintendo for much of the sound graphics for the characters and their surroundings.
Value-9/10-This game is definitely worth buying, if you don’t already own this, go get it right now! No GC owner should be caught without one!!!
