One of the greatest fighting games of all time.

Incredible, amazing, innovative, stylish, fun, **** these are just a few words I would use to describe Super Smash Brothers: Melee. All flattery aside, this game really is something to behold. It’s simplistic, yet incredibly deep, fighting system, and zany characters really set this game apart from most fighters. Instead of taking a traditional serious tone, or tournament style storyline this game progresses without much need for any explanation. You are a Nintendo doll brought to life fighting your way through a series of other Nintendo characters and eventually duking it out with the Master Hand; more or less that is the classic game mode in a nut shell. With many other modes including Adventure and Events, this game offers hours upon hours of replay value. All the characters are pretty diverse. The flaw with most fighting games are the numerous amounts of clones that appear in the character rosters, and though this game has them, they are different enough to stimulate slight variety. The music is great and fit’s the stage’s emotion amazingly well. Which brings me to my next topic: Stages.
The stages are awesome, they vary in degrees of vastness and dangers. Even though this game only takes minutes to get used to, it takes a lifetime to master. Super Smash Bros.: Melee truly is the greatest four player fighting game ever created.
