This game launched almost simultaneously with the Nintendo Gamecube back in Winter 2001, and remains one of it's greatest games five years later. Although when the Wii follow up comes into the puzzle, Melee will be old news, now, Melee is great, although many players have a Wii now and are playing other games, there are those players who still remain on Gamecube for the moment and still play Melee periodically, although after five years, many gamers have switched to playing other games. The gameplay will be mediocre in comparison to the Wii follow up, but at the moment, some of us still play, even if we rarely play at all.
