one of the greatest games i know of.and i rate this as number 2 on my 5 most favorite games list..its that good
as you start the game you notice the change from cartoonish style animation to a more realistic look..you'll be treated to a CG cut Scene which never gets old in my view.the single player aspect of the game has changed alittle from the previous title..Adventure mode is the real new addition which offers some dept but not much.you simply play through different stage designs based off of nintendo games until you reach final destination.classic most is still in tact you simply fight your way through characters in the game until you reach master hand.and another new addition is all star which is unlocked after you get all 25 characters,much like classic yet it differs in the way that you have no lives only 3 hearts that you can use at break points,and you must fight every character in the game.
target test are still in, which simply requires you to break targets with each character,and new additions are multi man melee which just has various modes that have you fighting polygon figures,home run contest which is you with a home run bat trying to hit a sand bag as far as you can..and finally there's event matches which requires you to fulfill certain requirements to complete them.
now to the main event which is what most people like me buy smash bros for is the multi player aspect of smash bros..the modes are the same standard stock matches which have you fighting with a set amount of lives, time matches which have you trying to get the most kills in a match before time is up,and coin matches which is new which is just you trying to get the most coins in a match..special melee is a new addition which just simply allows you to tweak your matches by either making them faster or slower etc..
the game play is simple yet has soo much dept if you really get into this game.2 attack buttons A for regular attacks B for specials. R and L for rolling dodging, and air dodging,Z is for quick grabbing..but you can also grab by holding R or L then pressing A..but i recommend that grab after you block an opponent's attack..
you can become very skilled at this game if you practice hard at it.. there is much skill and strategy involved in this game when play competitively, and knowing your opponent and his weaknesses as well as you own can really help toward securing a victory..glitches in this game can really help you become more skilled to..and i suggest looking up advance tactics for SSBM on youtube or goggle for more on how to do them..
this game is a instant classic and will never get old..its fast pace and great game play kept it in the console of many Game Cube players for years and im sure will still be played till the world ends..like i said its that Good..btw in my view melee is better than brawl which is why i gave this game a 10 and brawl a 9.5.
