Ah...the good old days of 64 bit. I rememeber back when me and my friends played this all the time. To me, its still fun as hell to this day and I still break it out every once and while, just because of how the game was made so well, and had the best muiltiplayer value any out of any game in its time. It was truly a gem and unlike any other game on the platform.

Well I guess I should start reviewing this. Lets start out talking about gameplay, which I must say owned in terms of a muiltiplayer fighting game. When you start playing single player, which you probably will, you will enter a world of fighting like non other. The graphics stunned me at the time, and it went perfect with the game. When you attacked Link, you really get a feel for the controls. The way the controls are mapped? Brilliant. Lets you kick your friends ass for hours and hours on end ;)

You will have lets of fun with this game. Oh and did I discuss the levels? Very cool. You will recognize all these from past classics and 3 of them will reappear in Super Smash Bros melee. Which is what I think those levels deserve. They are layed out perfect for this kind of four player fighter.

But now lets talk flaws, which the game has of course. Otherwise it wouldnt have an 8.5. Go figure. But of course what most people talk about first is the amount of characters which is VERY small. I mean small when I say that. This had less than 15 characters, where Brawl has an huge ass amount = over 25. And the amount of levels are scarce too. But the levels are so fun you can get past that.

This game has been "destroyed" by two amazing sequels, but I think it will always go down as the best multiplayer classic ever for any Nintendo console.
