This game was a TON of fun. My favorite character was Captain Falcon, and there was no changing it. Captain Falcon in gray was the best. Captain Falcon kinda died a little bit when Super Smash Brothers Melee came out. Captain Falcon got less dominant with me. Super Smash Bros. was a great game for a long time. I still bring it back sometimes and play this game.
This game is up there with: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, and Turok 2 in my opinion. This game is extremely underrated and I think Gamespot should do a re-evaluation on the rating. This game is revolutionary in that it's the first game of its kind. There has never been a game where you only move side to side and up and down with fast-paced action. You could use items, kick, punch, and use special attacks. You had to have fast reflexes to be good at this game.
Back when this game came out, I was nearly unstoppable. Only one person I knew could consistently beat me.
I remember the commercial for this game. I was a lot younger, and I remember watching cartoons and a commercial came on. The commercial had a bunch of Nintendo characters and Pokemon skipping in a field of grass and hugging. I'll never forget the commercial.
This game is a classic, and I am very happy to own this title. I hope in the next Smash Bros they make Captain Falcon as dominant as the first game.
