King of the brawlers returns for a final knock out blow to all it's pretenders
The game improves upon the previous edition in all aspects. 35 fighters (all unlocked), return of the bonus stages (car and barrel stages), better balanced gameplay, new stages, new ultra moves and far superior online play make this quite possibly the best value for game ever. Sorry Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Halo, COD, Mario fans but SSFIV virtually perfects it's genre and is perhaps the only game where the core concept behind it's design can be rekindled with slight improvements and yet maintain the same levels of addictiveness.
Unlike many a button basher SSFIV requires you to plan attacks and use all the moves in your arsenal to bash up your opponent. The addition of new focus attacks (hold medium punch & kick together) and ultras really spices up the fights making for some truly epic bouts amongst seasoned gamers online. And add in the training and replay modes which really help to improve your skills and you'll soon be mastering moves and combo's to take on the best.
Overall, a must buy and most complete game so far in 2010.
