Not a bad game, but the atmosphere and spirit of Supreme commander and Supreme commander: FA has been lost.
Anyone looking for a new game might enjoy it but I think I speak for both myself and many followers of the first game that this game feel like a washed out and pale ghost compared to this games predecessor.
The first game gave you a feeling of power, moving large formation of your battle units around and charging the enemies defenses, sending scores of nukes to overwhelm the enemies Anti-nuke defenses. This game lacks that spark that the first game gave me, thus robbing me of my motivation to enjoy it.
For me, these changes is kind of like what was done to fallout 3 but in this case a failure. I also love the Fallout series but in that case when the developer changed things to reach out to a broader audience they managed to keep the essence of the game, in my opinion, and thus Fallout 3 was as enjoyable as its predecessors. In Supreme Commander 2, this was either overlooked or tried with a miserably result.
So in the end, I for myself wont be buying this game and can only be thankful I had a chance to try it out before buying it since that would have felt like a waste of money compared to the expectations I had.
