For all those looking for an RTS game with epic and intense multiplayer.
Rushers will find it easy to produce 100's of low tier units early in the game and strike the enemy from various directions creating confusion and panic right from the get go if done correctly. In SupCom/FA you generally have a large numbers of units attacking and the awesome sounds of lasers and explosions makes it feel like a real war is taking place, and this happens under 10 min. In a rush game, the commander can change the tide of battle as he will be the most powerful military unit at tech 1. This makes the game very exciting, especially if playing assassination, because advancing with the commander gives the player an edge but the loss of a commander results in that player's entire base going up in flames and then its GG.
Turtle players will love the options available for defense. Defensive turrets for every type of unit, shield domes to protect all structures in the base and specific defense structures such as strategic missile defense silos that shoot down nuclear missiles before it hits you. The ability to turtle up only really comes in from tech 2 and so turtles will need to find a way to survive the tech 1 phase. Eventually Turtle players will take pride over a well shielded fortress, perhaps with many overlapping shields and with 100's of turrets placed within these domes. Watching massive armies being mowed down by turrets and all attacks being absorbed by the shield domes can also be very rewarding. Turtles will probably resort to a massive Tech 3 artillery to fire huge shells from their fortress at the enemy base or use nuclear missiles to blow their entire base away in one massive mushroom cloud.
Tech players are often left vulnerable to attack early game as they may be spending all their resources on upgrading factories. If they survive the early stages, they will be able to produce tech 3 units relatively early which can often spell doom for the other team. One of the most awesome sights however, is to see an experimental unit (tech 4), which is a massive monstrous unit such as a huge flying saucer or massive Spiderbot, leave it's base and destroy everything in its path. Its quite common in these cases to see your screen filled with lasers, rockets, artillery shells etc, all being fired at a single experimental in an attempt to destroy it before it reaches its target. Producing these however requires large amounts of resources, and so the player needs to spend on upgrading resource generators as well or the experimental will take forever to build.
Other awesome sights in the game are the swarms of aircraft coming in to support land units and large navy fleets firing artillery from the seas. Although the game requires a lot of micro, often the most rewarding part is to take time to watch a bit of the action that you had a hand in creating as the graphics are quite impressive and the scale of the game creates the feeling of an epic battle.
