Great for general public, Even better for the dedicated strategy gamer.

User Rating: 9.5 | Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance PC
Supreme Commander Forged Alliance is a strategy game that improved upon and brought to the table a whole new level of strategy for the real time strategy genre. It is a game that greatly improved upon the shortcomings of its predecessor and added its own little flair to the mix. The multi-player experience is excellent, and the single player campaign is superb. Over all, it is one of the best strategy games out on the market.
SupCom FA improved on almost everything in the book compared to the original game. Whether it was the balancing of units, experimental s are no longer the gods they once were, or the streamlining of the interface. The old user interface was clunky and didn't give the eye anywhere to rest. There was just to much going on with it. FA got rid of that by making every single menu able to hide to the side with the click of the mouse. They even made it, when it was out, transparent so you can see the action behind it. The most obvious improvement was in the graphical department. The game is just down right beautiful. Another welcomed enhancement was behind the scenes. The game ran ten times better than that of the original. Where as I could maybe get thirty minutes into the original game before it started to slow down, in FA I can get through an entire game without so much as a hitch. The AI has also been given a nice over haul. The main focus of the computing power is put into the path finding, the Skirmish opponents are no slouch either. The game is just plane better than the original by far.
When it comes to multi-player, the game hits the nail on the head. GPG net is the player matching service that is used to get players together in brotherly gaming. It is nice and relatively easy to navigate. The games are themselves are pretty reliable as the connection is rearly lost. Ranked matches are very serious. The system matches you with someone that is around your rank and it takes only moments before you are in game.
The best part about multi player is you get to see everyone's playing style. I have been playing since launch and I still have yet to see two Identical strategy's.
The game is out there whether your a hard core strategist or just an occasional gamer looking for a big battle. The game is great and it is very solid in terms of stability and replay value. The game has a lot of depth and you can scratch the surface and still play for hours and have fun without having to get into the complicated strategy's it takes to win tournaments and ranked matches.
I read one review down there that said that the person with the biggest and best units will win the game. Very untrue. Most every unit is still in play in late games if you know how to use them.
