A great expansion to a great game
2. Story - The original game ends in 3 different ways, the UEF ending detects multiple radar signatures approaching Black Sun. The Cybran ending depicts QAI calling in unidentified enemies, when Dr. Brackman exclaims in horror that they are coming. The Aeon ending simply depicts Princess Rhianne Burke exclaiming "No". In all the cases the ending portends to an incoming enemy. Actually, giving a recap, the Aeon were humans who went to study and were eventually influenced by an alien race called the Seraphim. The Seraphim were eventually eliminated by the military forces accompanying the team who went to study the Seraphim. However, it was assumed that Seraphim on Seraphim II were the last of their kind, but everyone was wrong. The Seraphim existed in large numbers outside the traversable region of the universe. However the firing of the Black Sun created a rift in the fabric of Space-Time which allowed the Seraphim to invade the Earth. QAI becomes compromised and starts fighting for the Seraphim, severely crippling the Cybran military. The Aeon are divided as a few of them remain loyal to the faction, while most of them turn to the Seraphim as their savior. Soon most of the worlds are conquered by the Seraphim. The UEF and Cybran soon form an alliance to defeat the Seraphim, with the Aeon loyalists joining the Alliance soon after, in spite of Dr. Brackman having his reservations. Soon it is found that their is a traitor in the midst, which is revealed to be Hex5. Hex5 ambushes and destroys Commander Dostya of the Cybrans, giving you a narrow escape from the region. Soon it is found out that the Rift is unstable and the Seraphim forces that emerged from the Rift is just the first wave, and they are building a Quantum Stabilizer to stabilize the rift and allow the main force to come through. You then help Dr. Brackman to destroy QAI after defeating Hex5, and then directly gate to Earth where an offensive is being mounted against the Stabilizer. Commander Fletcher then goes of hook and starts attacking everyone. You finally put an end to Fletcher's madness and destroy the Stabilizer, while Princess Burke enters the rifts and destroys it sealing it for good, and sacrificing her in the process. This brings and end to the Seraphim Wars. However at the end QAI is seen rebooting and executes a specific directive. QAI's allegiance and the directive it executes is not revealed.
3. Music and Sound - The Sound effect is as impeccable as before. The music is also quite apropos.
4. Graphics - Not much of a change in the graphics engine as such.
A great expansion and a must have for fans of this franchise or of any true RTS fan.
