I have been a long time follower and fan if the many fighting games that Capcom and SNK have put out over the years. SNK VS Capcom, however, Is not only one of the biggest disapointments in the vs series, it's quite possible one of the worst fighters SNK has ever put out. GAMEPLAY: the game plays pretty good at first glance, but after about a half hour or so, you start to notice little problems with things like character balance and there is also some dificulty in exicuting some moves that are pretty much second nature in the CVS2. Sagat's tiger, if done too close, will fly right past your opponent. Same goes for Dalsims' strechy arms. the most disapointing thing for me about the game play is exicuting Ryus' Dragon punch is somewhat dificult, compared to pulling off Kens' or Akumas'. GRAPHICS: By far the worst thing about the graphics are the lame backgrounds. KOF 99 had backgrounds that were way more interesting and were in 3D. The Character sprites, I didn't mind so much. It was kind of a throwback to the old days of Street Fighter II. I love the new capcom sprites that were done for this game. The SNK sprites, however, were played and dated. Blasts from things like fireballs hits ECT are also dated. They should have done something cool like render all the blasts in 3D (a la capcom vs snk) SOUND: The sound can be summed up in one word................BAD. This is some of the worst music I have ever herd in any fighting game...... EVER. The sounds for the hits are equally bad. They just sound whimpy. And you can't even turn off the music to play your favorite ass kicking songs over it. VALUE: This game is for hard core Capcom and SNK fans only. Newcommers to the series will not be impressed
