OK, yes, I know Street Fighter has been done to death. That doesn't mean that it's not a good game still. SNK vs. Capcom might not bring anything new to the table but I love 2D fighters and this game delivered. As I said, I have not played Live, so I can't comment about the flaws in the Live service, but as for Single/Two player mode of this game, I saw no problems. I picked up Ryu and Ken and played 'em just like any other Street Fighter game. SNK did a good job. I must admit that I'm not as familiar with the SNK roster of characters as I'm mostly a Capcom fighting fan, but they seemed to fit into the game just fine. My verdict? If you aren't tired of all the Street Fighter or SNK fighting games, pick this one up. I bought it and I'm not disappointed. If you aren't sure, then rent it first. If you just want it for Live fighting, then you may want to look elsewhere, as apparently that aspect is flawed, according to Gamespot. SNK vs. Capcom delivers just what it promises, a good 2D fighting experience. I know I enjoyed it and believe that it deserved a far better score than what Gamespot gave it.
