In this game, you play a leader of a small town. You must perform many things while playing this game.
Explore the lands around you
Increase your economy withing the town
Make appropriate Diplomatic decisions when called for
Hire troops and Build you Army
Enlist the aid of fellow Adventurers to help lead you armies and towns
Fight many battles, sometimes with just your heroes, most of the time with your Armt
Defeat all opponents
The game is turn based, and as you progress the Story of the lands around you will unfold. You will also find rare artifacts that automatically improve your capabilities. The only thing lacking is there is no real FRPG element as far as your heroes increasing level, since all increases are kinda automatic when they achieve enough experience, but with the wealth of other features ... who cares?
The graphics are, well, 1989, so not that great, but they get the job done. The Music? Heh, PC Speaker!
Still, if this game were remade, and done CORRECTLY as a Strategy game and not a Real-Time Stupidity project, it would rock!
