The Syphon Filter series started back on the original Playstation as one of the most popular third-person shooters of all time. From there, the series went downhill, and now we end up at Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain. The question you are probably asking yourself is: "Is Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain worth my money?" Well, yes and no. In Omega Strain, you are a top secret agent working for Gabe Logan's IPCA (For those who don't know, Gabe Logan is the guy you played as in the original Syphon Filter games for Playstation). Now, terrorists have created a super-virus called the Omega Strain, probably all part of their plan for world domination. Now, while the storyline may sound pretty interesting, don't let that fool you. The people behind your radio in this game are just like the ones in real life...boring! The gameplay might be alright if it was just a bit easier to kill the terrorists...most of them take a full clip of ammo to kill, and the controls aren't that great. Also, the auto-aim is really messed up. Graphics though, are a great improvement from the other games in the series. Things look very very smooth. Sound, very good. This game has excellent music, and the people who brief you actually sound like well...they are briefing you for a mission. Guns sound pretty good too. Can't do much better here. Value. For $19.99, it's not a bad deal. Depends how much you're into Syphon Filter. Hardcore fans of the series will definitely get a kick out of this game. My tilt..meh, I don't really care for it. I prefer gameplay over anything, and this game just doesn't cut it. Actually, I'm kinda disappointed that I paid $30.00 for this game. So, if you are looking for a good third-person shooter, don't tilt your head towards this one. If you are looking for a really good third-person shooter, pick up a copy of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs instead.
