Old-school shooting classic!
The thing that makes this game so interesting is that if you asked someone what it was, they would stare at you wondering what you're saying. It's a very uncommon game and you're lucky to be playing it. The graphics are sorta grainy, but it adds to the effect that it was a almost futuristic game when it came out. They could've made their mouths move when they spoke though... You have a behind-the-back view of your character, with two aiming systems, automatic and manual. There is a variety of guns and weapons, my personal fave being the air teaser. The plot is very unique with this little virus know as the Syphon Filter Virus (don't siphon from gas filters?) which somehow made this long running series. The sound is very good with dramatic background music, and good voice acting. The problem is the fact that the guns sound too quiet, but in most shooter games, they do. The game has fairly easy enemies, but they are very stealthy, unless you see them on your map. The AI sensing is good, reacting like an average soldier would. The bosses are unexpected, but some situations are set up so you have no clue about what to do sometimes at least until after you've thought about it a bit.
If you have an eye for old games that roll into an explosive series, this is the game for you, if you don't, just stick to the first game.(Un-advised!!)
