When I first started playing this game I was very skeptical, had not played too many turn-based games and they were not my favorite. But my opinion took a complete 180 degree turn when I picked this up. From the very beginning you are enveloped into the story of the game, later encountering mermaids and angels in your journey for the truth. Not only that but the combat is engrossing as well. With many character classes, spells, and attacks to choose from; the combat system will have you at it for hours on end. The customization and countless options allow for a completely unique experience and replayability. While it is an older game, it is among the best developed for the GBA, and personally one of the better games I have ever played. While being into spears, swords, and shiny magic is a plus; Tactics Ogre will offer enjoyment for any owner in search of a worthwhile game.
