I will start by saying I was in great need of a great rpg. I was looking for hours everywhere. Then I saw tales of eternia. I went out and got it and man was I suprised. The action was great and simplistic, no load times whatsoever, there are quite a few puzzles but nothing to hard and most of all it is FUN. The graphics in this game are not particularly fantastic. OK so the cut scenes in between magor storyline pieces are pretty sweet and the character animations are good but the map when you are walking around is not greatly detalied. It'll do but it could have been better. When in battle you may notice the background is fairly pixelated but this can be overlooked with great gameplay mechanics. There are many attacks and combos in tales of eternia. You can assign many attacks and even your companions as well. You can also play with wichever character si in your party. Most of the time you will have 4 characters. The story of tales of eternia is cliche. A girl lands on this planet and a boy and a girl find her but they cannnot communicate with her. They go in search to find out why she is here which leads to a bunch of ass kicking After this though the storyine becomes deeper and you will want to play more and find out what happens next. The character voices are not particularly good, some are but most aren't. You will end up meeting many different characters and overall they are intriguing and humorous. The game can be hard at some points mainly in later points of the game against those hard unforgiving bosses. You may find you will have to spend a bit of time training, but hey with the great combat this isn't a bad thing. The longeveity of this game and with the many minnigames, sidequests, arena battle, dancing and of course finding wonder chef to help you out with cooking you will not be in need of another game for a long time. I am going to end with if you haven't already got out of you seat and bought this interesting fun long rpg then I advise wisely that you do so.
