Finally a good RPG with, at the very least an attempt at something new and fun.

I want to start off by saying that it is so refreshing to finally play a RPG with not only a good battle system but also a cool storyline. I can't begin to say (but will try) how happy I am that it’s not the same "boy protects/falls in love with girl who saves world" storyline. Instead it's one with actual characters and a world that you care about which is weird because the main characters are aren’t the best ones but luckily not enough for you not to care. The world that you play on isn’t in danger of being destroyed so don’t worry. The battle system that is used is also one that strays away from the traditional one for RPGs. Instead, they use a side scrolling type fighting battle system which I found to be pretty awesome. My only gripe with this game is that I felt like the main quest was a little too linear, but the character quest makes up for that quite well. All in all this is a really good game for really anyone, especially with the battle system which makes it even more accessible to non RPGers. Highly recommended.
