very nice game, after playing it a while, it sucked me right in.

I have had this game for a while now, and barely got around to beating it last week. had stopped playing it due to a very tough boss battle about 6 months prior xD.

So, i started it up again, and after i finally got by that part and the story picked up, it sucked me in and wouldnt let go. I found myself playing it 5 to 8 hours a day.

This game manages to pull off what a lot of the the others of this same genre dont.

It has comedy (lots of it too), its intense, it has drama, and its not usually boring the hell out of you as you go through dungeons, it could be heartbreaking for some players, but most of all, it manages to wrap all those elements together and still hold a storyline that offers the best of the rpg genre.

This game is a lot longer then it looks at first, once you beat the main portion of the game, you start on Character Quests that tie into a new story arc.

The main plot:

You play as a ex-soldier named Senel Coolidge who sets out to see with his sister Shirly.

They get caught up in a storm and eventually end upon the Legacy (a giant ship).

the main plot consits of chasing around bandits and tyrants to save Shirley from being used in schemes, some harmless, some very harmful (trying my best not to let out ay poilers for this one lol, hence the lack of details .)

The Chara Quests are on a different story arc all together, but that still ties into the mail storyline in some aspects. and in this one your basically now fighting to save the entire world from destruction.

overall i was pleased with the presentation and execution of the game, and mildly suprised that most of all the man characters dialog (senel and pretty much everyone else except for a lot of the extras npcs, though the CQ (character quests) dialog was for the most part not ) was voice ovred.

overall, i'd give this game a 9 out of 10.

On a side note, those who have also played tales of symphonia might have noticed as well that A LOT of the content in this game (item names and special moves) are the same in both games. makes me wonder if they are somehow related in-game. (same world or something)
