The best RPG in the Game Cube and definitely one of the best out there.

Trading games with a fellow gamecuber a few years back I obtained a copy of Tales of Symphonia. I did not know that I was in for the gaming experience that I was missing ever since Chrono Cross (yes, I'm one of the ones that loves Chrono Cross).
Anyway, I picked it up and the first thing i noticed were the graphics; what a display of beauty, I really enjoyed the anime touch and feel of this game, even though, to be honest, I am not a big anime fan. The face expressions, spells and the colorful symphony of this game are what really grabbed my attention since the beginning.
The sounds were very well done; a very fitting music score that faded graciously in the background and let you do what you were supposed to be doing, playing the game. None of that Square-Enix stuff where in more that one town or dungeon the BGM is loud and imposing and ends up annoying you after a while (don't get me wrong i love Uematsu, Mitsuda and the others).
Changing subject; I absolutely did not complain even once to listen to Lloyd and his uncontrolled emotions, or hear Kratos give him a lesson. Every dungeon was meaningful and rewarding, save a few that were just kinda hard (I hate that damn fish). The battle system was, in my opinion, this game's strongest point: There wasn't a battle that I wished I wouldn't have gotten in.
Please get this game, do yourself a favor; heck, how the prices are now, I'd get a gamecube just to play this one; or maybe if you have a Wii. Thanks for reading my humble review! Good day!
