The Tales saga just gets greater, and Tales of the Abyss still stays strong to the roots it was based upon.

Tales of Symphonia was the first Tales game I ever played, and I instantly became hooked. Tales of the Abyss isn't any different in that respect, as it offers improved gameplay and a much better plot. It is well laid out, and the characters are much more believable than those in Symphonia. The music is great, the voice acting is superb, and the overall cast of characters are colourful and fun to watch.

My one issue with the game was that the bosses were way too easy. Even if I play them on hard, they aren't that much of a challenge. Overall, though, the battle system is fun to participate in, especially with the new Free Run feature. It's basically a redone version of the ToS battle system with obvious improvements.

The graphics are kind of blocky, but its put together so well with facial expressions and the like that you feel like you're playing an anime at times.

The bottom line is that ToA is an awesome game that any who loves RPGs should try. Its good all the goods aside from the graphics, but graphics don't make a game.
